Role Overview
Every agent step costs tokens and time. As a Senior Optimization Engineer, you will make NOVA faster and cheaper to run through smarter model routing, retrieval and caching.
Responsibilities
Build model routing that matches each task to the cheapest model that meets its quality bar.
Optimize hybrid vector search, reranking and context budgeting.
Design caching layers for deterministic intermediate results.
Create evaluation pipelines that prove quality holds as costs fall.
Requirements
5+ years in performance engineering, ML infrastructure or search systems.
Strong Python plus one systems language such as Go or Rust.
Experience with LLM inference, embeddings or vector databases.
A rigorous, measurement-driven approach to optimization.
